Yaaay, hi Jules!! I'm glad there are at least two of us here so far!
Hmmm, it looks like we can't nest replies within replies. But we CAN quote each other. Do you think that's sophisticated enough?
Also I have an RSS feed reader add on to my chrome browser, which I think will let me track threads, but I'm not sure if I can get it to track the whole forum. Having a million tracked threads might be obnoxious. I wonder if there's a setting that will let me get emails whenever someone posts?
Time to go exploring!

My RSS feed reader let me follow the main page, and I'm doing this to see if it'll pop up with a NEW POST icon with me following the main page and not this individual thread. I hope it works... Also I'm testing the "attachments" button up there on the right. Let's see what happens!  |

I actually prefer the quoting over the nested threads, so it's definitely sophisticated enough for me! I think I'll try the RSS feed too, did it end up working for the whole forum? I have email notifications set up too, so no big deal if RSS doesn't work  I LOVE THE ORANGE! And the cute toasty marshmallow!! You've done such an awesome job Katy, thank you!! |

RSS reader DID work! I have a Chrome extension at work that tells me when the forum updated, and I just put an app on the tablet that does basically the same thing (although I don't know what its notification method is yet).
I wanna do all the crawls too!! I may pick one to work on tomorrow. Maybe something short. The Egypt one?? We'll see!

Katy, color me impressed. I think you must be magical. This looks like exactly what we needed.
My internet connection is feeling cranky today, so doing a lot of forum testing seems a bit optimistic right now. BUT! I'll be back when the internet is behaving, and I'll bring a beyooooooutiful avatar picture with me when I do.

It'd be cool if we had the option to see it in reverse chronological order and switch between the two as we like. If we have to choose one, I prefer chronological so if I miss a significant part of the conversation (heaven forbid) it's easier to read everything and catch up. And a Brontësaurus, you say? Haha, I see what you did there. |
