Today is the last day of camp, and you have so much to do! How did this happen? Is this was the counselor was yakking about when you went to bed early last week? You’ll find out later. It’s time to make up some lost ground.
Arts and Crafts: Oops. You were supposed to turn in your final project last week. Fortunately, everyone’s agreeable on the last day of camp. Time to make a key chain that will hopefully look like you were paying attention instead of reminiscing about joining other cabin mates. Sprint for 15 minutes.
Race Time: This is probably what your cabin mates were working on when you were exploring the woods. In order to make up ground for your goofing off this month, you will be required to run the entire length of what is supposed to be a team course. You have time for a 10 minute sprint to examine the field and discover what you’re supposed to be doing.
Stretching: You usually skipped this part, but not today. Sprint to the end of the scene and time yourself. If you make it within 15 minutes, your trainer gives you another badge. You think he actually meant the person beside you, but you’re not about to correct him.
Water Balloon Run: Though it explains the vast amount of balloons you saw during your examination of the track, you’re a bit surprised, anyway. How will you keep running if you keep getting hit? Is this why your cabin mates kept returning to their bunks soaked? Why are they all grinning at you as you’re lining up? Five minute sprint, running as fast as you possibly can.
If you manage 300 words or above, you are only hit twice. You earn another badge. Woohoo! Who needs training? Wait, don’t let your cabin mates hear that. They still have plenty of balloons.
Puzzles: A jumble of wooden puzzle pieces are waiting for you at the next leg. You sort them out, finding they spell out three different words. Sprint to 200 words. If you finish in under three minutes, you get another badge.
Canoes: The puzzle spells out “Ready, set, swim.” Oh, dear. You really shouldn’t have skipped swimming so much. The canoes are ready at the shore, but the oars are in the island in the middle of the lake. Ten minute sprint as you swim with all your might for your oars.
Canoe Race: That swim to the island and back to shore took you way longer than it should have. You are in last place. Almost. One cabin’s teammate is clutching their ankle after jumping into their canoe, right as you reach the shore. What do you do?
Go Carts: When did the camp get go carts? You really should have spent more time with your cabin or listened to your counselor. You’re almost done, but you have to navigate the track that you’ve been walking the entire month. You’ve moved up three whole places, but there are five other cabins in front of you. Do a dash for 1000 words. Complete it in half an hour and you move up to second place. 31-60 minutes earns you fourth place by the end of the race.
Climb to the Top: Really? You can’t just run to the finish line? You have to climb a tree, grab some scissors, then run and cut the ribbon of your own color? Who designed this course, anyway? Five minute sprint to climb the tallest tree. Good thing you conquered that fear of heights on the first day. If you write more than 300 words, you move up one place as you cut the ribbon.
Podium Time: How did you do? Wait. Why are they asking for badges? Badges? Badges earned today? It’s your lucky day, after all! For every three badges, you move up one place on the podium. If you’re already in first, just grab the trophy and display your badges on your newly acquired sash. Camp is such a great thing! Who needs month-long preparation when one day of crazy goals can give you the same thing?

- 100 - 300 words: Your absent-minded ways are apparent. Feel free to try again.
- 400-600 words: Wow! Think of what it would have looked like if you’d been listening to the instructions!
- 700-1000 words: You might have been subconsciously listening the whole time, it seems. You earn a badge from your last minute craft.

- Alert the race officials: Wave someone over to the injured camper and scurry on your way. Sprint for ten more minutes. Earn a badge for being kind.
- Keep on going: Didn’t you learn anything in camp? Do a 20 minute sprint. You have a lot of catching up to do.
